Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and observed in many cultures around the world. It is a multi-day holiday where friends and loved ones remember those who have died by gathering and celebrating together. I have always been in love with the bright vibrant colors of Mexican culture. A Sugar Skull session has been on my bucket list for a while now.
When I was talking to Hannah about being on my senior spokes-model team I knew she would be perfect for this styled look. I started looking through Pinterest to get some inspiration for our shoot. I knew I loved the gold and purple makeup look paired with Hannah’s amazing blue eyes. My makeup artist Renee killed this look for us! I made a flower crown out of silk flowers and Hannah came in clutch with black lace everything and black pleather pants from Charlotte Russe. I finished off the look with a gorgeous flower crown with silk flowers from hobby lobby. I loved bringing my outdoor natural light style to this look. We hit on the perfect location and the magical golden hour and got the most awesome sunset ever. I could not have asked for a better bucket list check off than this shoot. So much fun and I cannot wait to do it again.
